Overview

The Department of Science and Technology (STD) of the University Center of International Programmes of Studies (UCIPS) of the International Hellenic University is based in Thessaloniki, Greece. According to Article 3 of Law 3391/2005 (as amended by Law 4610/2019 with effect from 7/5/2019):

“The aim of the Centre is to provide higher education, in a foreign language, to Greeks and foreigners.”

In order to achieve the mission of UCIPS, STD organizes and runs Programs of Study, at postgraduate level, available also in distance learning mode. It also organizes and supports Doctoral Studies and Postdoctoral research.

The Department is housed in two buildings, named A and B, at the University Campus of Thermi, which is located at the 14th kilometer Thessaloniki N. Moudania, 57001 Thermi, Thessaloniki, Greece. The total area of the campus is 16,000 square meters, while the Department occupies an area of approximately 4500 square meters.

Building A has classrooms, including laboratory rooms and an auditorium for events. Here are also located research and teaching laboratories, the secretariat of the Department, offices of faculty members, academic scholars, and researchers.

In Building B there are research laboratories, classrooms, including laboratory rooms and amphitheaters, offices of faculty members, academic scholars, and researchers.
