Manolis Tzimtzimis
Mr Manolis Tzimtzimis is currently a PhD Candidate in Additive Manufacturing and Machine Learning field at the School of Science and Technology at the International Hellenic University. He is also a Technical and Scientific Laboratory Associate at the Digital Manufacturing and Materials Characterization Lab. He holds a BSc in Automation Engineering from the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, as well as a MSc in Data Science from IHU. He has experience with various advanced manufacturing technologies such as 3D printing, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and Laser Machining. He is a professional certified user of Solidworks CAD software (Solidworks, Dassault), and is also proficient with 3D Scanning methods and advanced material testing procedures. Moreover, Mr. Tzimtzimis is an Academic Scholar at the School of Design Sciences, Department of Creative Design and Clothing, where he is the instructor of the course “Rapid Prototyping Technologies”, while he has also been a teaching assistant in numerous courses of the MSc in Strategic Product Design at the University Center of International Programmes of Studies (UCIPS). Finally, Mr. Tzimtzimis has participated in 7 research funding programs (4 European and 3 National) as Research of International Hellenic University (IHU), Center of Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH)
