Syllabus:
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with packaging design and manufacturing. The topics to be covered include aesthetics and graphic design, marketing principles, and production. The participants will be introduced to information design, including product requirements (bar codes, nutrition facts, instructions) as well as issues of sustainability and product lifecycle. The students will explore brand identity and apply diverse strategies to design and produce packaging prototypes for a variety of products.
