Through this course the students will understand the operational efficiency benefits of automation and techniques used to plan for implement automation projects. The course also includes a reviewing of the current industrial practices and the latest technologies available to automate the major manufacturing operations, as well as the communication capabilities required for integration of the manufacturing techniques. During the course the students will learn the principles and methods of automatic assembly, and the robotics technologies and applications.
